Improve Your Coaching Skills

This is a great time to look ahead for coaching clinics!

Now is the time

Mid-season is the perfect time to consider your strengths and weaknesses as a coach. What areas would you like to study, talk with other coaches about, and learn new approaches? Though you may feel swamped, I strongly suggest you look at the links below and consider which clinics might help you grow as a coach and elevate your program.

Personally, I felt that attending a number of different clinics not only helped me improve my knowledge, but it forced me to consider various ways to teach a skill. This approach helped me to focus in on the techniques that really helped my players.

I would also suggest you find a way to attend a clinic with your staff. It’s the perfect environment to immerse your group into all things volleyball, reflect on the previous season, and begin planning for the next one.

Each link below provides a current overview of clinics for your consideration.

Have fun learning and growing as a coach!

This December 15-18 it will held in Columbus, Ohio. This is a great opportunity to see outstanding volleyball, attend a wide variety of seminars, mingle with your peers, and walk by vendor booths. Other options

If you prefer other options, check with your closest college program to see if they offer a clinic. Or, if you are willing to organize a local clinic, some of the groups above may be able to provide a coach or two to come present to your group. Connect with them and ask about what might be possible.
